About us
Amoo Garba Ahmed Architectural Studio is a global architectural practice focusing on sustainable architecture and urban regenerative designs. The practice is founded and run by Thomas Amoo, Al Amin Garba and Tuhin Ahmed as Architectural Design Director partners sharing a common vision and ethos for the renewal of places and spaces, primarily within the rural sectors and less privileged spaces around the globe. The practice has offices in London, Abuja, Accra and Dhaka.
The vision of the practice is to explore the transformative power of architecture in shaping communities and environments, upholding a conscious commitment to contribute to the built environment, fostering spaces that enhance quality living standards while resonating with the cultural heritage and identity of communities. This ethos is the cornerstone of AGA Architectural Studio’s design philosophy.
Our motivation as a collective transcends traditional boundaries, intertwining architectural theory with research driven insights, devising architectural solutions that are not only technically sound but also socially responsive and contextually relevant.
The ethos of Amoo Garba Ahmed Architectural Studio is rooted in our core values, represented by the 5 R’s: Regeneration, Reformation, Revitalization, Restoration, and Reintegration.

To promote healthy living and provide essential infrastructure for communities, particularly those facing extreme poverty, in line with World Health Organization standards. These spaces are crucial in addressing poor living conditions that contribute to the residents' overall well-being and mental health.
People ought to have the opportunity to be nurtured, grow, and develop in environments conducive to facilitating the required tools and instruments to manifest the greatness within them. Healthy living spaces are at the heart of this reformation.
Architecture is a tool that, when used properly, can present the opportunity to address social, economic, and political issues through which a consolidated response is vital for the redevelopment and reformation of people and spaces.
The practice seeks to engage with remote and underserved communities worldwide, conducting in-depth research into the factors behind their decline. By collaborating with local residents and understanding their heritage, we aim to create tailored solutions that help these communities regain stability and growth.
